I work for GameStop. And my store is located in one of the busiest places in NYC. Battlefield came out and I've seen people bring that game back the next day. Modern Warfare 3.....My whole entire list of friends is playing that shit.....all 99 on XBOX and all 106 on PS3. I suggest going for Modern Warfare, lol.

@semi... I got madden 2k12 but I dont like it aswell as 11. Too much computer input especially on defense plus the graphics are kinda weird looking.

I would bet money that the people who returned the game are people who usually play CoD, and tried and failed to make the transition to Battlefield 3. I don't say that to take a cheap shot. But, they are two different games, and people who prefer arcade shooters aren't necessarily going to enjoy the technical differences present in the Battlefield series: differing weapon recoil, bullet drop etc. and the near-absence of situations that require the shooting skills you develop playing CoD.

Battlefield 3 is the technically superior game. And the series has been superior for years now: making both graphical and gameplay advances far and beyond anything we've seen in multiplayer first person shooters so far. Modern Warfare 3 uses the same engine as Modern Warfare 2 and utilizes an identical combat system, one that is fairly identical to all FPS multiplayer games. The series is just tighter with its controls and does it better. However, people are paying $60+ for a patch and a map pack. Which is unfortunate, but it's more than likely because of brand recognition and loyalty. But, that's the market.

If we compare BF3 and MW3, it's like comparing the difference between what critics say is a "good movie" and what the audience pays to see and enjoys, though I think that BF3 is the superior experience.

MW3 is cool , but its just like any other COD game, just new maps, andswitched around renamed perks, if you a true COD fan get it, BF3 for people that want real action, and more of a team player.... I got em both on ps3 and just like any other COD my KDR a 2.5, nothing changed, just new maps

MW3 is more inline with correcting all that was wrong with blackops. Battlefield is wired looking too as well as the play style. If you are use to the Call of duty series stick with what ya know bru because you get to switching right now you are going to be mad as hell. On a side note you can always use gamelfy and rent the Battlefield 3.

If you play COD already, stick with it. BF3 is a team based game. When i try to play BF3 like COD, my team looses, because one person can't make a difference in a 64 player game. So if your going BF3, make sure you have some people to play with. I play COD on my ps3. Seems like the same game with new maps but that's just about what i wanted. when i just wanna go in and kill as many people as possible, I play COD. On my PC(you'll need a decent one to play BF3 on) the game looks amazing, but you have to be strategic because of the huge maps, control points(CTF), and vehicles. For example, when we play, we have 1 assault class that usually just run and guns. The support guy follows him (tons of suppression fire), I play engineer so if a jet, heli, tank, etc comes buy while were fighting, i'll focus on that. And finally our sniper usually stays about 40 meters back and either spots or kills targets. Also, if we all die, we can spawn back on him and kill whoever killed us. Got me writing a whole paragraph. Anyway, if anyone plays BF3 on PC or MW3 on PS3, holla.

bf3 is a versatile game i bought that first & ive been playing that since the og xbox days. but mw3 is more exciting and fast paced.. im actually trading my battlefield for mw3 today.. only because my boys wanna clan up in mw3.

i personally thin BF3 is better... most ppl are too lazy to run the whole field, so they stick to mw3... Bf3 is more technical when i comes to game play.. on cod... anybody can start playing a instantly seem like a pro.. not on bf...

Here's the thing about each of them. They're both war games but play differently. There's strategy involved in a majority of BF3 and MW3 is just run&gun. The story to BF3 blatantly rips off MW this time around (EA/Dice needed to do that for sales, fact) and playing MW3's story is like watching Michael Bay make a movie idea into a game. Shit is intense and will always be.

This time around, I would prefer MW3 if you want to play online cause BF3 was rushed and full of bugs, along with server issues. Then again, it's what kind of game you prefer so it's a matter of opinion. One can't be better than the other.

(I say this playing all the COD games and only Battlefield 2, I'm not a huge fan of either but if your going to waste $60+ on playing with your friends, go with MW3.)

BTW: If you plan to buy it, wait till Black Friday/Christmas. They'll be dropping the price on atleast BF3. (Activision is stingy on dropping new game prices, though Black Ops will drop in price for sure.)

battlefield 3 is a better game altogether ....i played mw 3 story mode I liked it better then battlefields story mode. but online sucks it's almost same as mw2 different levels different guns....almost...and perk system is different....I Love battlefield just because you can fly jets, helicopters, ride in tanks, Humvee, apv 's online...... building are destructible, and the gun system is crazy....and the realness of the game is apparent...in my opinion mw 3 is mw 2.5...... battlefield is always be the better game.
