[Intoxicated]

The city of Chicago is installing new lamp post that will measure air quality,light intensity,sound volume,heat,precipitation and wind. They will also monitor cell phone traffic to count the number of people who pass by. People concerned about privacy need not worry the project is designed to store the data it collects in anonymous forms. This is now the first time a city has collected large amounts of data from its streets but it could be the first time a permanent infrastructure has been added across an entire urban landscape.

Yeah but in today's society there's a need to know everything and know as much as you can

and yet, they shut down 50 schools...probably didn't need those...

I think the same applies to anything some times too much information is not a good thing. I mean its a hot zone there some have called it a war zone in recent weeks, having the information may be useful. At what point, as citizens, do we have privacy. i could get really mad a yell out wishing someone dead, would you then show up at my door if that person gets hit by a car? I don't know already listening to phone conversations and what not when does it end?
